  • Mountain One's home base in Erie, Colorado, is the perfect location for all levels of helicopter training.

Erie Tri-County Municipal Airport (KEIK) is located 18 miles north of Denver, CO, and less than 15 miles east of the majestic Colorado Rocky Mountains. The combination of great weather, geographical location, sleepy uncontrolled airspace, and numerous local off-airport landing zones makes Mountain One's North location an ideal place to learn to fly helicopters. Colorado's front range enjoys over 300 days of sunshine per year! To the East, it's sparsley populated and is flat as a pancake all the way through Kansas. Heading West, it's a 10-minute flight to the rugged 8000 ft + foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Sandwiched in between these two extremes of terrain, Mountain One's Erie location offers unlimited variation for training oportunities.

Mountain One South is located at Centennial Airport (KAPA), about 10 miles southeast of downtown Denver, CO.  Located at one of the busiest general avaition airports in the country, in class Delta airspace, pilots gain a variety of experiences both on and off the airport.  Mountain One South is located in the Heliplex, a site that specializes in helicopters and helicopter support.

In addition to our Erie and Centennial locations, Mountain One runs a mountain campus near Telluride, Colorado, that offers high altitude flying between 8,000 and 14,000 MSL on private land that covers over 15,000 acres of spectacular alpine terrain.
