The 3 person F28F was certified in 1980 and in addition to the 280FX is the only turbo-charged piston powered helicopter in production. It's an exceptionally well built helicopter that provides excellent hot and high performance while being economical to operate and extremly functional.

The F28F differs from the 280FX only in the shape of it's cabin. The the F28F has a rounded, slightly wider cabin structure, with a single undivided bubble (windshield) whereas the 280FX has a sleek, pointed nose and a seam that vertically divides the bubble in half. Both have similar performance, safety records, and flight qualities, the mission at hand will dictate which model will best meets your demands.
